Newport am

The Shelduck broods have been stable at 4 & 6 for a couple of weeks, which is hopeful compared to the complete wipeouts of the last few years. Today 4 Med Gulls - 3 ad & 1 2nd cy, sadly none ringed. A flock of c25 Dunlin flew round, 2 Ringed Plovers, 4 Herons, a Little Egret, 20 Oystercatchers.
Also in recent days flocks of 10 or so Redshanks, several Common Sandpipers & 30+ Curlews on the roost.
